Mosaic Summer Enrichment Program

Program Overview

The Mosaic Summer Enrichment Program is a 1-week, residential enrichment program exposing participants to:

  • Health Care Careers in the following professions:
    • Medicine
    • Dentistry
    • Nursing
    • Pharmacy
    • Research
    • Health Related Professions
    • Population Health
  • ACT Prep
  • Personal & Professional Development Workshops

Additional Details

  1. The dates for the program are: June 15th - 21st, 2025
  2. The program will take place in Jackson, MS on the University of Mississippi Medical Center’s campus during the day.
  3. At night students will be housed with one roommate at Millsaps College, chaperoned by trained personnel.
  4. Students will be transported daily between UMMC’s and Millsap’s Campus via Groome Transportation
  5. The program is completely free of charge. All housing, food, and activities are payed for by the IMPACT the RACE program, a grant funded by HRSA.
  6. Participants are responsible for transportation to and from drop off and pick up, as well as any vaccines needed for approval of attendance, and any supplies.
  7. Parents/Guardians of participants MUST attend the parent orientation at the beginning of the program.
  8. The program is aimed at students who reside in a rural area of Mississippi (a town with a population less than 20,000). To qualify for this program you must reside in a town with a population less than 20,000

Eligibility Requirements 

  1. Complete the following application in its entirety by the application deadline of Saturday, March 1st, 2025 @ 11:59 PM.
  2. Have 1 recommendation form submitted from a current or former science-based teacher completed by Saturday March 1st, 2025 @ 11:59 PM. 
  3. Reside in a town with a population less than 20,000.
  4. Hold the classification of Junior or Senior in the 2025-2026 School Year (Meaning you are currently enrolled as a sophomore or junior in the 2024-2025 school year) and be dual-enrolled in college classes during the 2025-2026 school year. 
  5. Be 16 years of age or older
  6. Have a GPA of 3.0 or above.
  7. Have parent consent to attend the program.
